The Fund supports the annual themed celebration held in the Jardin Remarquable du Moulin Jaune (Remarkable Garden label of France) - the emblem of our activities. We contribute to the choice and development of the theme, as well as to the artistic conception and dramaturgy of the festival as a unique form of Garden-Theatre.
This is a festival where street theatre meets other forms of performing, visual, and applied arts; its scenography is shaped by the very nature of the place: the garden and the river that borders it. Imbued in the spirit of carnival, the festival invites visitors to immerse themselves in its creative atmosphere until the boundaries between spectator and performer, between reality and play, between daily life and celebration, dissolve.
In preparation for the event, the Fund organises masterclasses and workshops dedicated to the festival’s theme. Open to students, professionals, and the general public alike, these sessions allow participants to discover and take part in the creative process behind the scenes. Masters of clowning and street arts, along with “poets of space,” will share their craft, while specialists in theatre research will shed light on the place of the festival-spectacle in cultural history.
